NOTU Provides 21 Gun Salute for Astronaut Memorial Service
A Memorial Service was held at the Astronaut Memorial Plaza, Sand Point Park, Titusville, Florida. This is a annual event held as a remembrance for all the Astronauts who gave their lives for the exploration of space. The keynote speaker was Patrick Simpkins, director of engineering for NASA at Kennedy Space Center. The color guard units included active duty personnel from the Air Force, the Navy and community fraternal and civic organizations. The Naval Ordnance Test Unit from Port Canaveral Presented a 21-cannon salute at the end of the program.
